Rate billing

Build a selling price from weight × rate, plus extra charges you name in settings. The labels are yours, so this works for jewelry, fabric, metal, or any trade that prices by weight and add-on charges.

Turn it on

  1. Open Settings → Rate billing.
  2. Turn Enable rate billing On.
  3. Set Weight label, Unit, and Rate label.
  4. For each extra charge, set the label and how it is added:
    • Per weight unit — value × weight (making per gram)
    • Fixed amount — one amount on the item (stone or labour)
    • Percent of weight × rate — a percent of the material amount (wastage)
  5. Optional: add shared rates such as Gold 22K or Silver. Changing a shared rate updates every item linked to it.
  6. Save rate billing.

Change the rate tomorrow

Open Daily rates in the sidebar (or Settings → Rate billing) and type the new amount next to that rate, then Update. Every item that uses the rate is recalculated. Invoices already completed keep the price from the day they were sold.

Items with their own typed rate, not a shared rate, do not change.

Price an item

  1. Open Item master and add or edit an item.
  2. Turn Price from weight and rate On.
  3. Enter weight, choose a shared rate or type a rate on the item, then fill the charge fields that are enabled in settings.
  4. Selling price updates from those numbers. Save.

The POS sells that calculated price. The cart and receipt show a short breakdown, such as 10.5 g × 6500 · Making charges 450/g 4725.
